Biographical Sketch Mother Charlotte Elizabeth Eades Jurisdictional Supervisor – First Illinois Mother Charlotte Elizabeth Eades, Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Women’s Department, First Jurisdiction Illinois is the daughter of the late Bishop David Archie Reed and National Evangelist Carrie Lee Reed. She is a native of the state of Kentucky, a lineage of Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries and yes Bishops. Mother Eades presently serves under the leadership of Bishop Ocie Booker. She has also served under the leadership of the late Presiding Bishop Louis Henry Ford and Bishop Shepard Little. Mother Eades was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the tender ages of six years under the Ministry of her mother, Evangelist Carrie Lee Reed. Throughout her childhood, youth, and into her adult life, Mother Eades never faltered or wavered in her faith. Mother Eades’ preparation as an educator started at the Williams Grant High School in Covington Kentucky and continued through Chicago Teachers College and Cortez Business College. She served as Principal of Tabernacle Christian Academy and as Dean of the Charles H. Mason/William Roberts Bible Institute, First Jurisdiction-Illinois. Her keen eye and desire for Excellency in others has blessed and inspired many to be achievers in both the secular and spiritual arena. In the Historic “Chicago’s Oldest House” with Bishop Louis Henry Ford officiating, Charlotte Elizabeth Reed was united in marriage to Archie Lee Eades. From this union of love came two children, Marian Eades Pearson and Archie Lee Jr. who blessed their parents with grandchildren, Kristen, Gregory Jr. and Nikkita. As a young mother and missionary, she maintained her duties as a homemaker while fulfilling the responsibilities of her calling. She conducted revivals, taught Sunday School, worked Jail Ministry, and chauffeured the elderly mothers. Because of her faithfulness, Mother Eades’ gifts made room for her. Prior to her appointment as State Supervisor, she served as District Missionary to Superintendents Joe. B. Reed, Samuel Russell, Ocie Booker and Napoleon Harris, Assistant Chairman of the District Missionary Unit, Second Assistant State Supervisor to the late Mother Rosie Hines, and First Assistant State Supervisor to the late Mother Carrie Cantrell. November 1997, Mother Eades was appointed Jurisdictional Supervisor of First Jurisdiction Illinois by Mother Willie Mae Rivers, President of the Women Department of the Church of God in Christ International. As Jurisdictional Supervisor, she provides leadership and training for the women representation of over 100 churches. Several new innovations have been organized under her tenure. She organized the Women’s Institute Hour, a monthly training session for women of all ages, she is the organizer and founder of the “New Generation” designed for the purpose of training young women from the ages of twenty to forty-five, and the Annual Women’s Retreat, a weekend or spiritual and social elevation. Along with her Jurisdictional responsibilities, Mother Eades has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of the National Women’s Department and she presently serves as Regional Supervisor of the Heartland Area comprising the States of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada. |
